3-D Homes

Continuing with the theme of January (3-D art) the second year students have a short brief lesson on architecture, what it is, why it is important and who is an architect. Students also work on their own 3-D home. They got a strip of glossy paper and they decorated the outside of their home. They had to make sure their home had a door and windows that were the appropriate size and they could decorate the rest of their home however they pleased. I had to remind many of them of things you can find on a wall because many of them were drawing suns and lakes on their walls. Once students were done coloring with markers, I hot glued a styrofoam top and they glued the roof of their home to the styrofoam.
