Ship Shapes

This was another project I worked on with my after school students. The book we read for this project was Ship Shapes by Stella Blackstone and illustrated by Siobhan Bell. The aim of this after school class was to read art book and make art inspired by our books. Can you guess the art we made for this book? Boats! I gave students colored paper and told them what part of the boat we would be making with that paper. I showed them what shapes they could use to make that part of the boat and students made their own parts  for the boats.
