SPOOOOOOKY PUMPKIN
I like to plan fun projects for special holidays or events. The number of Corona cases in my city made us cancel the Halloween party at school so I decided to plan a simple fun lesson students would enjoy that would put them in a spooooooky Halloween mood.
We drew a pumpkin, and I gave them ideas on how they could customize the eyes and mouth of their pumpkin. Once they were done drawing, students traced and colored their pumpkin with black oil pastels. When students were done tracing they painted their pumpkin with watercolors using Halloween colors (purple, orange and yellow).
This is a simple lesson but for the past few weeks students have been working on their art gallery and they needed a break. They enjoyed it and were happy to work on something Halloween inspired to make up for the lack of schoolwide Halloween event.
