Snowman Christmas Tree Ornaments

 After working on our Christmas cards (first year students card, second year students card, third year students card) we moved on to making ornaments for our trees. The majority of my students are Korean and not all of them usually put up Christmas trees in their house for the season so I wanted to make something they could also put anywhere else in their house. 

To make this snowman ornament students got construction paper in white, black and brown. They learned how to trace and cut circles and they followed my steps as they made the arms and buttons for their snowman. Once they had glued their snowman together, I helped them stick it to their sticky paper with the red frame and they put the tissue paper on the paper. The finishing touch was the yarn on the top they could use to hang their ornament.

Students were very happy with this project and it was quick enough they could finish it one day but long enough they didn't finish it too quickly.
